During the self-adhesive printing process, once the self-adhesive printing machinery malfunctions, it will seriously affect the production efficiency and product quality. Mastering effective fault diagnosis methods enables one to quickly locate and solve problems, ensuring the normal operation of equipment.
Observe the operating status of the equipment
When the offset printing machine is in operation, first pay attention to its sound. Normally operating equipment makes smooth and regular sounds. If there are sharp or abnormal friction or impact sounds, it is very likely that mechanical components such as gears and bearings are wearing out, loosening or getting stuck. For instance, when gears are severely worn, the meshing process will generate noise, affecting power transmission and subsequently leading to inaccurate printing registration. At the same time, pay attention to the vibration of the equipment. Abnormal vibration often indicates that there is an imbalance inside the equipment or loose connection parts. For instance, if the motor is not installed stably, it will intensify the overall vibration of the equipment and affect the printing accuracy.
Check the printing quality
The change in printing quality is a direct manifestation of the malfunction of self-adhesive printing machinery. If the printed pattern is not registered properly, it may be due to uneven pressure between the printing plate cylinder and the impression cylinder, or loose belts and chains in the transmission system, which disrupts the synchronization of each printing unit. When the graphics and text appear blurry or have double images, it may be due to the wear of the printing plate, inappropriate ink viscosity, or an uneven surface of the blanket, which affects the ink transfer effect. In addition, if the ink color on the self-adhesive label is uneven, it may be due to a malfunction in the ink supply system, such as a clogged ink pump or abnormal rotation of the ink fountain roller, which prevents the ink from being evenly delivered to the printing plate.
Inspect key components
Conduct targeted inspections on the key components of self-adhesive printing machinery. Check the paper feeding system. If there is paper jam or skew during the paper feeding process, it may be due to the wear of the paper feeding wheel, the aging of the paper feeding belt or improper tension adjustment. Check the printing plate device. If the printing plate is not installed firmly or there are scratches on the surface of the plate material, it will directly affect the printing quality. For the ink circulation system, it is necessary to check whether there is any leakage or blockage in the ink pipelines and whether the filters need to be replaced to ensure that the ink can circulate normally. In addition, the electrical system is also a key inspection point. If the equipment fails to start or operates abnormally, it is necessary to check whether there is a short circuit or open circuit in the circuit, whether the controller is faulty, and whether the sensors are malfunctioning, etc.

Through comprehensive inspection and analysis of the operating status of the equipment, printing quality and key components, faults of self-adhesive printing machinery can be diagnosed quickly and accurately, providing a basis for timely maintenance and ensuring the smooth progress of self-adhesive printing work.
